#GivingTuesday in Support of IDF Lone Combat Soldiers
Imagine coming home from a long day after work. Coworkers were rude, the project you worked hard on was undermined and all you dreamt about was your mom’s freshly warm cooked meal and your pillow.
Now imagine that you are a soldier and to make matters more complex, a lone combat soldier. You grew up in France and decided to do something bigger than yourself and protect the one and only Jewish country. You are one out of 7,000 soldiers who join the Israel Defense Forces. After rocket attacks, protecting borders and active drills, being able to have a safe haven you can call your own is a challenge. Your service helps lives yet has an impact on your own life as well. The balance, in more ways than one, hits home.
This is where American Friends of Libi makes a difference and this #GivingTuesday we hope you join us in our efforts to give lone combat soldiers a warm place to relax, rejuvenate and feel secure.
The new $20,000 (65,000 Shekel) campaign is performing with the partnership of Yahad – United for Israel’s Soldiers. The project will help fund over 85 apartment units out of the 100 that the Israeli army hopes to secure with state-of-the-art amenities. The campaign will continue through the end of this year and we look forward to sharing developments of its success, thanks to you. Please help us by donating today and sharing the campaign with friends both near and far.
