At American Friends of LIBI, we believe that supporting Israel’s soldiers means caring for them—and their loved ones—through every chapter of their journey. From the battlefield to the home front, our mission—approved and supported by the Israeli Ministry of Defense—is to provide hope, healing, and a sense of belonging to those who give everything to protect the State of Israel.

Honoring Widows of IDF Fallen Soldiers
When an IDF soldier makes the ultimate sacrifice, their family carries an unimaginable burden. We stand by the widows of these heroes, offering emotional support, financial assistance, and a community that understands their loss. Through programs like holiday gift packages, educational grants, and personalized care, we ensure these families are never forgotten—because their loved ones’ legacy lives on in every heartbeat of Israel.
Healing IDF Troops with PTSD
The scars of war aren’t always visible. For IDF troops battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), the fight continues long after the mission ends. American Friends of LIBI funds critical welfare programs—beyond the IDF’s defense budget—to provide mental health resources, recreational spaces for recovery, and a network of support. We’re here to help these brave men and women reclaim their peace, one step at a time.
Uplifting IDF Lone Soldiers
They leave their families behind, travel across the world, and enlist to defend Israel. Lone soldiers—those without family in the country—face unique challenges, from empty apartments on weekends to holidays spent far from home. We provide them with a “Bayit Cham” (Warm House), fully equipped apartments with food, supplies, and professional staff. From sponsoring Passover Seders for 500 lone soldiers to funding one-time airfare to visit their families abroad, we show these heroes they’re never truly alone.
