Emergency Financial Assistance During Shiva
Thousands of courageous IDF soldiers have been killed in action since the establishment of the state in 1948. In an instant, their families’ lives were forever changed. Nothing can bring back a loved one or repair the loss felt by parents, spouses, and children. In the days that follow, families enter shiva, the seven days of mourning, while the practical demands of daily life continue.
Through the Association for Israel’s Soldiers’ Emergency Relief Fund, LIBI USA enables immediate support for bereaved families during this period. Families receive 2,000 ILS in vouchers to help cover urgent expenses such as food, clothing, and other essential needs during their time of mourning. These vouchers can be redeemed at approximately 60 retail chains across Israel, providing families with necessary support while they grieve.
