Medical Support

Supporting IDF Soldiers with
Lifesaving Medical Resources

The reality of defending the State of Israel means that soldiers are injured in combat and emergencies. When that happens, care must begin immediately. The difference between evacuation in minutes or hours, between having the right equipment on hand or not, can determine outcomes long before a soldier reaches a hospital.

American Friends of LIBI works in coordination with the IDF and the Israeli Ministry of Defense to fund medical equipment, vehicles, and training resources that allow lifesaving care to begin where it is needed most: in the field, during evacuation, and at frontline medical facilities.

Military

Ambulances

When soldiers are injured, every minute that goes by before care is given matters. LIBI USA funds military ambulances used by the IDF for emergency response and evacuation from outposts, bases, and operational areas. These ambulances are built for high mobility and equipped to provide medical treatment during transport, allowing wounded soldiers to be stabilized while en route to hospitals. Through these vehicles, IDF medical authorities deliver lifesaving care to soldiers and, when required, to civilians during emergency military activity.

Lifesaving

Medical Gear

When combat fighters are seriously wounded, conditions can change in seconds. LIBI USA funds advanced lifesaving medical gear that allows medics to keep soldiers breathing, maintain blood circulation, control bleeding, and monitor vital signs until further treatment is possible. This equipment supports immediate stabilization at the point of injury.

High-end Simulation Training for Military Medics

IDF military medics undergo extensive training to become certified in delivering lifesaving care. LIBI USA funds high-end training simulation manikins that allow medics to recreate battlefield injuries and emergency scenarios. These advanced systems support initial training and refresher exercises, improving medic readiness, confidence, and performance under stress. The mobile technology brings training directly to staging areas, saving valuable time for medics and trainers.

Mobile Medical

and Dental Clinics

Extended deployment in operational zones limits access to routine medical care, potentially affecting soldiers’ ability to function. LIBI USA supports mobile medical and dental clinics that bring care directly to soldiers near operational areas. These fully equipped vehicles allow IDF and contracted medical professionals to deliver urgent treatment close to combat zones while remaining out of harm’s reach, reducing delays and preventing avoidable complications.

Field Hospital

Equipment

LIBI USA supports equipment for field hospital capabilities that include emergency medicine, operating rooms, intensive care stations, inpatient wards, diagnostic imaging, and computerized medical records. These units are trained and self-sufficient, capable of treating large numbers of casualties and supporting both military operations and humanitarian missions.
