Who We
Support

American Friends of LIBI’s support reaches soldiers through the units they serve in. These are the frameworks that shape daily military life: where soldiers train, wait, deploy from, and return to. Supporting a unit means supporting hundreds or thousands of soldiers at once, in the places they actually operate.

Rather than funding stand-alone programs, LIBI USA works with IDF partners whose soldiers spend much of their service together in active units, ensuring support reaches them where they live, train, and return between missions.

The Association for
Israel’s Soldiers

The Association for Israel’s Soldiers is the primary body responsible for soldier welfare across the IDF. It works with unit commanders to identify practical gaps the defense budget does not cover. Through this partnership, donations are translated into concrete support that soldiers encounter on base: medical readiness, infrastructure, recovery spaces, and daily-life resources that make long-term service possible.

Paratroopers

Paratroopers operate with speed and independence, often moving between training and active deployments with little downtime. Units spend long stretches together in close quarters, especially during high-readiness periods. Support directed to Paratrooper units focuses on sustaining soldiers between missions, when recovery, food, rest, and shared time are limited but essential to continuing service.

Golani

Brigade

Golani is a ground force brigade that operates along active fronts. Service is prolonged, often physically taxing, and far from home. Supporting Golani units means supporting soldiers through long deployments where base life becomes the center of everything: preparation, recovery, meals, sleep, and the brief pauses between operations.

Air

Force

Air Force units function around constant readiness. Crews rotate through long shifts that demand accuracy and endurance, whether in the air or on the ground. Support here strengthens the daily rhythm of base life that allows Air Force personnel to maintain focus over time, return to duty repeatedly, and operate without pause when needed.

Iron Dome
Units

Iron Dome crews live with responsibility that rarely becomes visible unless something goes wrong. Their watch is continuous, alertness sustained over weeks or months. Supporting these units means standing behind soldiers whose service involves waiting, monitoring, and responding instantly. The support they receive helps make that long, quiet vigilance sustainable.
