New Gym at IDF Base

Heading into the holiday of Shavuot, LIBI got to give combat soldiers a little gift. With the help of generous donors, LIBI was able to set up a fully functioning gym on base for the use of the soldiers! The gym is complete with all the equipment needed to get int a full-body workout of any kind!

The great thing about a gym is that it serves two purposes simultaneously. On the one hand, it trains the soldiers and gets them into peak shape so that they can train at a higher level. On the other hand, it gives them a great activity to do in their spare time and raises the overall morale of the soldiers!

We wish them only the best, and that they use it to reach their maximum potential so that they can continue to be the best army in the world!

Soldiers Head Home after Extend Deployment

Our IDF soldiers have finally been released from their bases. Coronavirus broke out in full force at the beginning of March. To help protect the operational effective of the IDF, the IDF took the rare and unique decision to keep soldiers within their units for extended periods, call it base isolation, and not allow home visits. This created a unique and demanding situation for LIBI.

With many soldiers away from home for extend deployment and with the holidays of Passover, Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Memorial Day), Yom Hazikaron (National Memorial Day) and Yom Haatzmaut (Israel Independence Day), morale could be hit. LIBI took up the task to bring great food, entertainment, games, and fun to our IDF soldiers across Israel.

With the threat of Coronavirus reduce our soldiers can finally head home to their families. For many this has been a long 2+ months. Be safe, enjoy the time with your families and we look forward to seeing you back on base.

April 2020 in Review – Holidays, Coronavirus and Virtual Tours

Coronavirus cannot stop us! With the unprecedent battle of our lives and the holidays of Passover, Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Memorial Day), Yom Hazikaron (National Memorial Day) and Yom Haatzmaut (Israel Independence Day) we at LIBI have been busier than ever supporting the IDF mission and our soldiers.

With COVID-19 forcing our soldier to remain on base for over 2 months and isolate from the general population, LIBI stepped up and brought smiles to the soldiers. We brought food, snacks, games and some great entertainment for our IDF soldiers to enjoy.

With lockdown in place we had to find a new way to remember our fallen IDF hero’s this past Yom Hazikaron. For safety of the country cemeteries and memorial halls were closed so we went virtual. Check out our virtual Tour for Yom Hazikaron

For Yom Haatzmaut we had the great honor of welcoming IDF Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen Aviv Kohavi to our Yom Haatzmaut celebrations at a combat post in northern Israel.
